Inner App Tutorial Manual
Use this manual to onboard students, moderators, admins, and HMD/dev users. Inner also has a Dashboard guide inside the app for each account type.
Account Signup
It says Request account in request mode and Create account in open signup mode.
When the browser asks, choose Always allow. Inner uses this for server allocation and admin review.
Use a real name, email, phone number, grade, username, and password.
Open signup creates a member account. Request mode shows a review screen until an admin decides.
Daily Basics
- Dashboard shows announcements, online users, and the guide.
- Messages are room chats.
- Friends are added from same-grade search or exact username search.
- DMs and group DMs work with accepted friends.
- Call, Video, and Share screen live in the selected DM/group header.
- Files can be public or private.
- Use the three-line menu on phone to open the sidebar, and log out normally when done.

Member / Student
Profile, adding friends by grade, DMs, calls, screen share, files, Google Workspace, Browser sharing, dark mode, and phone basics.
Moderator / Teacher
Room use, friends, DMs, calls, screen share, reports, class materials, safety expectations, themes, and phone basics.
Admin
Signup mode, account requests, account search, friend/grade support, calls/TURN setup, hidden tabs, browser rules, logs, and backups.
HMD / Dev
Metrics, storage, calls/WebRTC health, emergency controls, localhost tools, bots, plugins, AI, and recovery.
Classes and questionnaires
Save your class in Profile to join its class room. Changing class removes access to your previous class room and selects the new room. Existing rooms named Class 9A, Grade 9A, or 9A are matched automatically; if no room matches, a class room is created.
Members: Forms to complete appears on Dashboard only when you have an open form awaiting your response. Choose Complete form or Sign up, fill the required fields, and submit. The form disappears from your dashboard after submission or when the sender closes it.
Teachers and moderators: choose Create form on Dashboard. Pick a questionnaire, signup, MUN registration, or feedback template, then edit the questions and options for your event. Fields include short answers, paragraphs, multiple choice, checkboxes, dropdowns, email, phone, numbers, dates, times, and website URLs. Select a room or grade and send. A whole-grade target such as Grade 9 includes 9A, 9B, and 9C. Open Manage forms to see your active and closed forms, view Results, download CSV, or close submissions.
Google Workspace and Browser

Admin Checklist
- Set Admin > Server > Signup mode.
- Add report email recipients.
- Hide Admin, HMD, Domain, or any feature from users as needed.
- Use Account search before pressing Show all.
- Use grade filter for grade-level review.
- Check user/profile grade if friend search is empty.
- Add TURN values if calls fail across different networks.
- Export logs before wiping them.
Privacy and Safety
- Normal users should not see Admin, HMD, or Domain tabs.
- Private files are visible to the uploader and admins.
- Users can only friend same-grade people unless they search exact username.
- Dark themes should keep text readable across forms, panels, DMs, menus, and tutorials.
- Phone logout should return to a scrollable sign-in screen.
- Admin browser rules can block websites for normal users.
Phone Setup
iPhone
- Open Inner in Safari.
- Tap Share.
- Tap Add to Home Screen.
- Open Inner from the home-screen icon.
- Use the three-line menu to open the sidebar.
Android
- Open Inner in Chrome.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Open Inner from the installed icon.
- Use the three-line menu to open the sidebar.
